Donna is originally from Canada, but has been living in North Carolina for nearly 15 years. Prior to joining the NAHN team, Donna worked with the NC Assisted Living Association for nearly a decade serving in both membership and meeting planning roles, and in the public sector as a program coordinator/project manager. Donna enjoys spending time with her family traveling, camping, and volunteering at a local dog shelter.

Duties with NAHN:
All things related to management of grants as well as scholarships and awards.  


Teri Saylor
Director of Communications

Teri’s career in journalism, communications and association management has taken her to the world of newspapers, magazines and corporate communications. She has served as executive director of the North Carolina Press Association, edited a local sports magazine and was public affairs director for the North Carolina Railroad Company. She has also served in various positions at First Point Management Resources. She has a BA in English and communications from North Carolina State University, and enjoys freelance writing, journalism and photography.

Duties with NAHN:
Teri handles communication, creating and distributing e-newsletters and other publications, keeping the website up to date, managing social media, and performing other duties related to NAHN’s communication efforts. She serves as liaison to NAHN’s Engagement Committee


Nancy Lowe, CMP
Director of Meetings

Nancy has over 25 years of experience managing corporate and association meetings, most recently at the North Carolina Medical Society where she planned meetings for the state association and 10 medical specialty societies. She also has experience in hotel sales, catering, and convention services. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Guilford College in Greensboro, N.C.

Duties with NAHN:
Nancy handles all things related to the planning, management and execution of NAHN’s two major meetings: the Annual Conference and the Latino Leadership Institute. She also handles exhibit and sponsorship sales. She is the staff liaison to NAHN’s Education Committee.


Christine Gil
Director of Membership

Christine has over 15 years of experience working for nonprofits as a volunteer and as an association manager. Holding administrative, marketing and membership management positions. She also has experience in restaurant management and advertising. She has a bachelor’s degree in advertising, a master’s degree in international business.

Duties with NAHN:
Christine manages membership records, annual dues, event registrations and member communications. Coordinates new chapter requests and prospective members outreach.
