Northeastern Pennsylvania Chapter

Mission statement:
To foster the development and improvement of health care for the community at large. With a specific focus on Hispanic ethnic groups, through the concerted efforts and collaboration with community members, community leaders, Hispanic Nurses.

Vision statement:
To promote the health of the residents of Monroe County and its surrounding areas.

A. To have a voice in the planning of health service delivery to Hispanic citizens and residents of Monroe County and the surrounding communities.

B. To compile a local membership directory of Hispanic Nurses.

C. To promote leadership and professional/educational advancement of culturally diverse nurses to meet the health care needs of the Hispanic community.  

D. To promote research activities and seek grant-funding opportunities, which address Hispanic and multi-ethnic health promotion, and illness prevention. Focusing on improvement of health care problems common to Hispanic, and multi- ethnic clients and communities.

E. To identify the contributions that Hispanic Nurses have made to research, education, and nursing practice.

F. To strengthen the influence of Hispanic Nurses on government and organized nursing through coordinated action.  

G. To participate in setting health care policy that affect the Hispanic and Multi-ethnic populations.

Philadelphia Chapter

The Philadelphia Chapter provides an important voice for Hispanic nurses and the Hispanic community in Philadelphia and surrounding areas. Its members provide an important voice for Hispanic nurses and the Hispanic community of Philadelphia and surrounding areas. Its members are active in local health care issues and committed to increasing educational and professional opportunities for Hispanic nurses and nursing students through its dedication to networking, scholarships, and mentoring. Its members are also instrumental in providing culturally competent health care for Hispanic consumers.
