NAHN National Association of Hispanic Nurses® is a non-profit professional association committed to the promotion of the professionalism and dedication of Hispanic nurses by providing equal access to educational, professional, and economic opportunities for Hispanic nurses.
NAHN is also dedicated to the improvement of the quality of health and nursing care of Hispanic consumers.
Jose Alejandro, PhD, RN-BC, MBA, CCM, FACHE, FAAN
Jose Alejandro, PhD, RN-BC, MBA, CCM, FACHE, FAAN, is the Immediate Past President of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses (NAHN). He also served as vice president of NAHN 2006-2008. Mr. Alejandro has been a long-time member of NAHN’s Dallas Chapter, serving as President 2008-2010, Treasurer 2007-2008 & 2014-2016.
Jose received his Certificate in Vocational Nursing from South Plains College in Lubbock, Texas; BS in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington; MBA in Healthcare Management from the University of Dallas; MS in Nursing from the University of Phoenix; and his PhD in Human Services from Capella University.
Since 2000, Dr. Alejandro has taught traditional and online; undergraduate and graduate courses in nursing foundations, nursing research and nursing administration. Other courses taught include business management and organizational behavior.
Jose is a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing (FAAN) of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and a Certified Case Manager (CCM). In addition, he is currently a member of several organizations:
