NAHN Awards & Scholarship Committee The NAHN Awards and Scholarship Committee reviews nominees that are nominated by and from the membership and selects scholarship recipients. The Committee also presents nominees to the NAHN Board of Directors for the following awards' categories:

The NAHN By-laws Committee receives, considers, and edits proposed amendment(s) to the By-laws submitted by the Board of Directors or a Chapter, provided that such proposed amendment(s) shall have been received by the By-laws Committee at any time prior to thirty (30) days prior of the Annual Meeting. The Bylaws Committee is authorized to originate such proposed amendment(s) to the bylaws as the committee may deem appropriate or desirable and to ensure that the membership is notified of the proposed amendment(s), with committee recommendations, in accordance with Article XV of the By-laws. NAHN Conference Program Committee The NAHN Conference Program Committee develops the Annual Conference program, as well as assisting NAHN to select the location for the annual conference. The NAHN Conference Program Committee is headed by Dan Suarez, MA, RN. Other Committee Members are:
The Development Committee determines the long-range needs for facilities and programs and establishes means of fund-raising within the tax status of NAHN. It actively seeks sponsorship funding and grants for programs and continuing education. The NAHN Development Committee is led by Anabell Castro-Thompson, MSN, RN, ANP-C. Other Committee Members are:
The NAHN Membership Committee devises means to recruit and retain membership; fosters the development of new Chapters; and assists in solving challenges that may arise in existing Chapters. The Committee is led by Corina Ibarra Chick, BSN, RN. Other Committee Members are:
The Nominating Committee recruits and prepares a slate of candidates, under strict, confidential protocols, to be elected at the Biennial Meeting (even numbered years); recruits one candidate for each office, except for the office of President, unless there is a vacancy in the office of President-Elect; obtains a statement of consent to serve and their qualifications for office; and no later than ninety (90) days prior to the Biennial Meeting, forwards the slate of candidates to the NAHN Secretary who places it on the website. The Policy Committee integrates NAHN's purpose with related public policy issues and address the challenges; develops position papers for discussion and action by the Board of Directors and the membership; seeks collaboration with the private, public, and governmental entities in matters of public health as they relate to Hispanics; if necessary, serves as NAHN representatives on boards, commission, and task forces; and develops endorsement policies and guidelines for externally-funded sources. NAHN Public Relations Committee The Public Relations Committee promotes and disseminates NAHN's purpose and function; utilizes the website for presentation of current information with updates; contributes to the NAHN publication and Chapter newsletters; originates press releases on relevant issues in Hispanic health.
