The purpose of our program, the Latino Provider Influencer Initiative (Latino-PII), is to educate health care providers about the All of Us Program in order to build trust and serve as validators and trusted messengers in communities across the country. The All of Us Research Program is an ambitious effort to gather data from one million or more people living in the United States to accelerate research and improve health. As an awardee, or role is to facilitate awareness of and interest (specifically health care providers) in participating in the All of Us Research Program at the chapter levels. To be eligible to receive funds for your chapter, you (or someone from your chapter) are required to attend the PII Information Session. Funds will ONLY be eligible to the chapters who participate in the information session.
Provider Influencer Initiative (PII) Information Session. Target date: mid-December. Chapters interested in participating in the Latino-PII will be required to attend this national conference call. This conference call will include: 1) overview of the All of Us Research program, 2) discussion of the role of providers and NAHN members, 3) opportunities to get involved through this initiative.
At the end of the conference call, you will be required to submit a form with your chapter name, person responsible, a description of how you intend to disseminate the information of the All of Us Research program to health care providers (one specific event like a booth or health fair etc.), and how many people you think you can reach. You will be expected to complete a final report before funds are distributed to your chapter. All final reports must be submitted by February 28, 2018.
$3,000 is available for all chapters. This money will be divided by the number of chapters interested in participating. The All of Us toolkit contains materials that can be used for distribution to health care providers to facilitate awareness of health care providers in the All of Us Research Program. You will be responsible for printing costs. The rest of the funds can go for administrative services for your chapter.
NAHN, with the All of Us Research Program, will also be conducting an All of Us Program Webinar in early February. The national organization will conduct a webinar about precision medicine and the All of Us research program. The purpose of this webinar is to provide information on the All of Us research program to multidisciplinary health care providers, discuss the role of providers and the quadruple diversity goals of the program.
