"Apoyando la Salud y Bienestar de Nuestro Pueblo" Our Chapter is committed to increasing educational and professional opportunities for Hispanic nurses and nursing students through networking and mentoring. We are also dedicated and committed to the improvement of the quality of health and nursing care of Hispanic consumers and making a difference within the Hispanic/Latino community. Membership is also open to non-Hispanic nurses and non-nursing associates interested in the promotion of health care in the Hispanic community.
We are one of 46 chapters of the National Association of Hispanic
Nurses; with approximately 2000 members nationally. Our members advocate,
educate, volunteer, seek partnerships, and conduct programming in the Latino
community to improve outcomes, elevate the nursing profession, heighten
education, and influence change. We also work collaboratively with others
to improve health equity and to create a future in which everyone, regardless
of race or ethnicity, has opportunities to be healthy.
