Platform Statement

As we see significant demographic shifts with many states becoming minority-majority states and Hispanics becoming a significant voting bloc in national elections, there is still a lot of work to do increasing Hispanic representation in the healthcare workforce as a vehicle to advancing Hispanic health. NAHN at the national level and in all of its chapters plays a significant role mentoring and welcoming Latinos into the health professions. We need to continue growing our chapter system and linking up local leadership and national leadership development.
