2016 NAHN Vote

Candidate for 2016-2019 Treasurer:

Armando Riera, RN, MSN, NP-BC

Relevant NAHN Experience:

I have served locally as Treasurer, VP, and President. At the national level, I served on the Board as Chairperson of the Membership Committee. During my tenure, my efforts were instrumental in the implementation of the Member Ambassador Program, which recognizes recruitment efforts. In 2012, I was elected to the National Board of Directors and revamped the Public Relations Committee to work closely with the Membership Committee as NAHN continued its unprecedented growth. I served as coordinator of the Community Service project at the last NAHN conference and coordinated student participation. I am currently serving as National Treasurer of NAHN.

Platform Statement

It is with great respect and humility that I offer my continued services, energy, talent, and leadership skills to be reelected as National Treasurer of NAHN. If reelected, I will continue my dedication to the daily operations and maintenance of NAHN's Finances. I pledge to hold steadfast in assuring that our finances will be maintained and reported on an accurate, clear, and timely manner. If reelected, I will continue to be very productive and accountable as the past two years have been. One of our major accomplishments has been to find a financial advisor for NAHN. Additionally, I was instrumental in conducting financial webinars to educate local NAHN treasurers and other members. Under the guidance of the Board, I will continue to put forth recommendations and actions that not only seek to sustain but surpass the present financial standing of the organization. I respectfully appreciate your continued support.
