Platform Statement

After attending a NY chapter meeting in September of 2008, I was determined to reactivate the NJ chapter by reaching out to a core group of nursing leaders, and as a team, place the NJ chapter on the map again. In October of 2008, the first meeting was held and from that point, we developed relationships and collaborated with Colleges, Universities, Hospitals, and many healthcare providers. In 2010 I was awarded the Dean's Award for Advancing the Nursing Profession by the University of Medicine and Dentistry (UMDNJ), now known as Rutgers University and recognized again in 2012 by Rutgers EOF program. If elected to the Board of Directors, I will bring the same enthusiasm and determination to the Board as I have had on the local level by increasing membership and advocating for nursing as well as for our communities.
