Enhancing Health, Well-being and Performance through the Practice of Mindfulness

Washington, DC (January 16, 2014) — The National Association of Hispanic Nurses (NAHN) is delighted to invite you to a free webinar on March 26, 2014 at 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM EDT presented by Dawn Bazarko, DNP, MPH, RN, senior vice president, UnitedHealth Group's Center for Nursing Advancement.on the practice of mindfulness.

Do you often find yourself thinking about something that is not happening in the present moment? If so, you are not alone.

The nature of the mind is to wander and the wandering mind and lack of present moment awareness has been shown to reduce happiness, negatively impact health and well-being, cause stress and anxiety, and impair performance.

The practice of mindfulness helps us to cultivate the ability to increase focus and attend to what is happening in the present.  Participants of this webinar will have an opportunity to learn about and directly experience the practice of mindfulness.

At the end of this session, participants will be prepared to:
1. Describe the impact of stress and “mindlessness” on health, well-being, and performance.
2. Apply mindfulness practices as a mechanism for improving health, happiness, and safe, compassionate care practices.
3. Demonstrate mindfulness practices.
4. Discuss methods for bringing mindfulness into teams and organizations.

Space is limited. Reserve your Webinar seat now at:
