ASAE Honors National Association of Hispanic Nurses with
The Power of A Silver Award

Washington, DC (August 12, 2013) — ASAE has presented the National Association of Hispanic Nurses
with The Power of A Silver Award, among the highest industry awards honoring associations that engage
in activities and initiatives that are essential to a stronger America and world.

The National Association of Hispanic Nurses' Muevete USA (Move USA) program was celebrated for
its innovative and effective efforts to educate the Latino community on healthy living. The program, taught by nurses and geared for school age children and their families, includes common sense tactics to prevent obesity in children.

This year, a total of seven associations were recognized with The Power of A Silver Award. In addition to
the National Association of Hispanic Nurses, the other Silver Award winners are the American Institute
of Architects, Independent Bankers Association of Texas, California Association of Health Facilities,
American Society of Anesthesiologists, American Society of Civil Engineers and Ohio Council for Home
Care and Hospice.

"National Association of Hispanic Nurses' Muevete USA is another example of how associations continue
to have a significant impact in the lives of others," said Christie Tarantino, CAE, president and CEO of the
Association Forum of Chicagoland and chairman of The Power of A Awards Judging Committee. "We are
proud to recognize the association professionals and members who make meaningful contributions to
their communities and society each and every day."

In 2010, the Associations Advance America Awards and the Associations Make a Better World Awards
merged to become The Power of A Awards. The new awards are part of The Power of A, an industry
brand launched by ASAE in 2009 to create awareness about the association community's valuable
contributions on the local, national and global level.

A complete list of winners is available at www.ThePowerOfA.org/awards.
