NAHN's Hispanic Health Care International Selected for Indexing in the MEDLINE Database

Washington, DC (April 3, 2013) — The National Association of Hispanic Nurses (NAHN) is pleased to announce that the National Library of Medicine has selected NAHN's Hispanic Health Care International journal for indexing in the MEDLINE database. The journal is joining a select group of 5,664 journals actively indexed in MEDLINE. Journals in MEDLINE are automatically included in PubMed (which has 25,000 journals both active and inactive), and these indexes are the premier starting point for researchers throughout the world.

"This is an acknowledgment of NAHN's attention to the peer review and selection process, as well as the high quality of the articles that have been submitted in the recent 2-3 years," said Jim Costello, Vice President, Journal Publishing Program, Springer Publishing Company, LLC, which publishes the journal for NAHN.

NAHN would like to recognize the work of NAHN's past president, Nilda (Nena) Peragallo, DrPH, RN, FAAN and Elias Provencio-Vazquez, PhD, NP, FAAN, FAANP, Editors-in-Chief;  Katherine Maidenberg, BA, MPA, Managing Editor; Margaret Avila, PhD(c), MSN, RN/NP, PHN, Clinical Editor; and their team of reviewers and contributors for collaborating in the production of such a respected publication.

We invite everyone to continue to support our Journal by contributing articles both research and evidence-based. For more information, visit http://www.nahnnet.org/NAHNJournal.html.
