NAHN National Association of Hispanic Nurses® is a non-profit professional association committed to the promotion of the professionalism and dedication of Hispanic nurses by providing equal access to educational, professional, and economic opportunities for Hispanic nurses.

NAHN is also dedicated to the improvement of the quality of health and nursing care of Hispanic consumers.


NAHN Scholarships

The National Association of Hispanic Nurses (NAHN) is pleased to announce the distribution of over $200,000 in scholarships and related services to NAHN members this year at its Annual Gala during the 2013 NAHN Annual Conference.

This was a very competitive year, with one of the highest number of applicants. Many thanks to our generous funders who are actively helping increase the professionalism of Latino nurses.

2013 Children's Mercy Hospitals and Clinics Pediatric Nursing Scholarship

Children's Mercy Hospitals and Clinics, a NAHN Corporate Member, provided a $2,500 Children's Mercy Hospitals Pediatric Nursing Scholarship to NAHN to promote the study of Pediatric Nursing among Hispanics. The 2013 recipient of this scholarship is Avelina Ramirez, RN, BSN, DNP(s).

2013 NAHN $2,000 Scholarship Recipients

Congratulations to the recipients of the 2013 NAHN $2,000 scholarships, who were recognized during the NAHN Gala at the 2013 NAHN Annual Conference. These scholarships are funded in part by a contribution from Lilly USA, LLC, which had no control over its content. No personally identifiable information regarding applicants is provided to any grant supporters.

2013 United Health Foundation National Association of Hispanic Nurses Scholarship Awards

The National Association of Hispanic Nurses (NAHN) was honored to receive $120,000 for scholarship money and related services from the United Health Foundation Diverse Scholars Initiative's Latino Health Scholars Program.

Eighty five thousand dollars was distributed to NAHN Members, with the remainder going towards providing related services.
