National Association of Hispanic Nurses (NAHN) Selects Consulting Management Innovators (CMI) for Comprehensive Association Management Services
Washington, DC (April 16, 2013) — The National Association of Hispanic Nurses (NAHN), a US-based organization dedicated to the advancement of the nursing profession and the health outcomes in Hispanic communities, has selected Consulting Management Innovators (CMI) to assume full management services of the Association’s business operations. This step deepens the relationship between the two entities, which was established in December 2012 when CMI initiated planning and management of NAHN’s 2013 Annual Conference.
NAHN President Jose Alejandro, PhD, RN-BC, MBA, CCM, FACHE remarked, “We see our partnership with CMI as the opportunity to move to the next level in service to the Hispanic community as well as Hispanic nurses. Their ability to leverage new technologies, ideas and efficiencies will enable NAHN focus on our strategic initiatives and take the next step as a thriving organization.”
NAHN was founded in 1975 by a group of Hispanic nurses who saw a need for an organization to support the growing population of Hispanic nurses and focus on Hispanic health issues. Since its founding, the association has coordinated its operational activities out of Washington, DC. NAHN will continue to maintain its headquarters within CMI’s Washington DC office supported from CMI’s operations center in Little Rock, Arkansas.
”We are honored to be selected as NAHN’s full service management company”, said J. Michael Hoehn, Executive Vice President of Consulting Management Innovators. “At CMI we seek to partner with associations who have opportunities to grow and deliver more value to their communities but need modern association management expertise and resources – NAHN’s mission and expansion potential, present exciting opportunities for both NAHN and CMI.”
NAHN’s existing Executive Director, Celia Besore, MBA, CAE, has been retained by CMI to continue to serve in that capacity for the association.
Today marks the beginning of a several month transition of NAHN operations to Consulting Management Innovators’ purview.
